Steve Potts in the house.....ti hardtail 29er. 2 X 8 drivetrain with the old school XT thumbies. 29 X 2.4 tires, elbows, and knees for suspension. This bike straight up rocks !
those little green clothes are sweet, just add a little bit of water, isopropyl and elbow grease to git rid of the nasty rust accumulation OR not, and add the character. Either way.....it's purely aesthytics as the rusty rotor braked just perfectly fine.

this is the new $3200 Salsa Horsetheif 2 with 120mm of travel, Sram X9 drivetrain, suspension is taken care of by Fox on the rear and the White Brothers Loop up front. This is the bike that we fell in love with when we went to dealer camp at Snow Basin Utah a few months back. For the money we're betting that it's going to be a big hit next year....so much in fact that our rental fleet will be compromised almost enirely of Horsetheifs for next spring/summer. It's a blast to ride and it's single pivot technology is simply elegant. Traction is typically the primary benefit of a good single pivot design and with rear shocks like the Fox Float CTD it will also do a fantastic job of isolating any pedal movement that a single pivot bike may have. Afterall.....on a trail bike, traction is one of the most important qualities we're after and this bike has plenty of it. Come try one out for yourself.
