Very excited to put this new Evoc pack to the test. Heavy duty material, great zipper pulls, and lots of compartments. Also has a nail wrap that also works super slick as a tool wrap holding files, chainsaw tools and of course....a pump.

Motivation to ride comes from strange sources sometimes. Getting out on a trail and making it just a little bit better than how you leave it is one of ours.

The days are numbered folks. Blodgett Canyons wilderness boundary changes this spring and one of the locals favorites will be permanently closed. Fat bike fun is at a premium up there right now.....go and get some !

Absolutely love all the new plus sized options out there right now. The wide footprint from the combination of 3 inch tires and wider rims really help with traction in loose tread type terrain resulting in a more stable and confidence inspiring ride. 

Pictured here is the new salsa pony rustler with 120mm/130mm of travel and has fantastic geometry.

Hiding behind it is our in house hardtail, the bitterroot weasel. Steel framed, slack geo., and super short 16.5" chainstays. The bike absolutely rocks.

Ever wonder what the new Maxxis Minion FBR 4.8" tire looks like mounted to a Surly Clown Shoe 100 mm rime on a Mukluk?

Wonder no more!  Good clearance between those meaty lugs, chain stays and yoke.....and no chain rub on the sidewall.

Winter Overhaul

To commemorate the auction of the last Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am, we decided to build a Ventana El Gordo in the requisite black and gold color scheme.  Lots of goodies on this one; Ventana El Gordo frame with 12 x 197 rear hub spacing,

Paul Components Klamper mechanical disc brake calipers and Love Levers,

Race Face Turbine Cinch Crank and Bars, Sram GX rear derailleur, Shimano XT front, Sram X7 shifters, ODI Troy Lee Lock On Grips,

Salsa Bearpaw 15 x 150 Thru Axle aluminum fork, salsa stem and a Cane Creek 40 Headset..

...and let's not forget the Gold Surly 100mm Clown Shoe rims on Salsa Fat Conversion Hubs wrapped in Vee Rubber Bulldozer and Snowshoe XL 4.7" tires.

Just add "You, (yeah YOU!)" and some pedals and go out and conquer some snowy trails.  Burt Reynolds' style 'stache is optional.
