Bitterroot Cycles 29er
Another ride on the proto....this time on one of our favorites, Blodgett trail. Chunkfest and tons of granite that requires slow speed skill set. And once again I feel really happy about this project, this bike. I think we've got a winner here and I'm always very surprised with the behavior of the bike and how smooth steel framed bikes feel. So stoked.

Proto build
Got the frame back from powder coat yesterday. Really like the matte clear paint and bead blast finish. Almost sparkles under sun light.
Had a small group of locals stopping in around closing time...beer thirty I suppose. I avoided any beverages and started right in on the build. 44mm headtube reamer/facing. And cleaned out the paragon bb she'll too just to make sure. Nothing beats the sensation of a freshly tapped shell.
I'd say dave Norton did an exceptional job of building the proto. Without a proper frame jig or alignment table. Those will be coming very soon like as rector engineering is assisting with the new tools. Norton is gonna be stoked. A slight redishing of the rear wheel to get everything centered and installation of a fresh sram x1 kit, pike suspension fork and she's ready to rip.

Onyx racing products
Something a little different. We just got in a set of the onyx hubs with roller clutch mechanism in the rear freehub. Silent, smooth, and instantaneous engagment. We're lacing these up to a pair of DH Derby carbon rims and using sapim cx ray spokes and dt swiss prohead nipps. Mother-flippin sweet.

29 x 3
Big tires sure are fun. 29 x 3 conversion on the ventana elgordo. Fat bikes are mountain bikes and so simple and sweet.

Long travel carbon
First ride on the santacruz tallboy, short but sweet ride down to the river trails just behind the shop. New bikes always ride nice...right ? But this one here feels balanced and I've got the bug to take it out for a longer voyage in the coming days. Should be a very fun bike.

Derby wheelset sale.
Red Barn built wheelsets using Ray Derby's carbon rims. We're building these up with Industry Nine, Hadley or Chris King hubs.
Derby ms come in 26", 27.5 and 29" diameters and come in widths of 40mm wide (29er size also has a 35mm option). Why is wide good ?
Ray explains that here
Add these carbon, wider, lighter, stiffer rims and tubeless compatible wheels to your bike.....we're selling the Derby rims laced to Industry Nine hubs using Dt Swiss supercomp or competition spokes and aluminum nipples for $1395
